Sharing gifts extended throughout the local community with the delivery of handmade quilts and blankets to EACH, a Children’s Hospice in Cambridge.
The quilting project was organised a few months back as a chance to learn new skills and build fellowship at the same time. Children and adults alike all helped design, stitch, sew and put together the quilts. The project was a success with the completion of their first batch of quilts, ready in time for Christmas to be taken to those who needed them most.
Church members and visitors also donated other special gifts to local charity the Cambridge Cyrenians. These included blankets, toiletries and toys and much more.
“We can only imagine what it might be like to not have the care and support so many others do at this time and season”, said one of the local donators. “We hope this small gift will help someone experience a little joy this season”.
